Privacy Policy

Swadharmaa Library is a mobile reading application provided by SWADHARMAA. This policy explains how this specific app collects, uses, stores, and protects information when readers browse books, read page images, save personal reading activity, use offline downloads, and receive library notifications.

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

• Account information such as name, email address, protected login credentials, email verification details, and password or PIN reset information.
• Device and app information such as installation identifier, device name or model, platform, app version, IP address, user agent, and last seen time.
• Library activity such as folders opened, books opened, pages viewed, search keywords, language filters, reading events, and offline download status.
• Personal library data such as favorite books, bookmarks, bookmark notes, reading history, first viewed time, last viewed time, and view counts.
• Push notification information such as push token, notification permission status, enabled or disabled status, delivery status, open events, and in-app read events.

We do not store raw passwords, raw PINs, or raw OTP values. These are processed in protected form where applicable.

• To provide access to the Swadharmaa Library app and its reading features.
• To authenticate users and support account recovery.
• To save favorites, bookmarks, reading history, and offline reading data.
• To send important library updates and notification messages when notifications are enabled.
• To improve app reliability, reading performance, and user experience.
• To protect the app, backend services, and user accounts from misuse or abuse.
• To provide support and respond to account or privacy requests.

The app may store session tokens, a device installation ID, offline book/page files, and offline download metadata on your device. On supported Android devices, sensitive session data is stored using secure device storage. Offline files remain on the device until you remove them from the app or clear the app data.

We do not sell user personal information.

We may share limited information only with service providers required to operate the app, such as cloud hosting, database, email delivery, push notification delivery, security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance providers. These providers are expected to process information only for the service purposes required by the app.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information, including HTTPS communication, protected credential storage, hashed secrets where applicable, access tokens, and backend access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their devices, email accounts, and login details.

• Account data is kept while the account is active or as needed for support, security, or legal reasons.
• Favorites, bookmarks, and reading history are kept while the account is active.
• Session, OTP, and reset records may be kept for a limited period for security and account recovery.
• Usage analytics may be kept in identifiable or aggregated form for product improvement and security.
• Server logs may be retained for a limited period for debugging, security, and operational reliability.

You may request deletion of your Swadharmaa Library account and associated account-linked data. When a deletion request is completed, we will delete or anonymize account-linked data such as profile details, sessions, favorites, bookmarks, and reading history, except where retention is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Swadharmaa Library is a devotional and library reading app. It is not designed as an app primarily directed to children under 13. If this position changes, this privacy policy and Google Play declarations should be updated accordingly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
